Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you visit, Netlify's servers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, as any web server does, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. Netlify's own privacy notice describes its handling of that data. [Confirm the data-transfer basis for the USA once the society's counsel has reviewed this notice.]
Forms
If you use the join or contact form, the details you enter are transmitted to Netlify, stored in the society's Netlify account, and forwarded by email to the society's leadership. We use them only to run the society: to keep a membership list and to contact you about events and society business. We do not sell or share them with third parties. Membership data is kept for as long as you are a member; contact-form messages are deleted once dealt with.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and where applicable the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you may ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent to further contact at any time. Write to the address above.
